Now that I've upgraded my PC (nVidia geforce 8600 GTS, AMD 64 X2 6000+ @ 3.0 GHz, 2gb DDR2 800 RAM) I thought I'd give Photoshop Lightroom another shot. The trial ran really slowly on my PC before, and I had uninstalled within days of getting it. Now its brilliant. It still takes while to load images if they aren't cached, and sometimes I have to restart the program to get a new folder to cache, but its otherwise speedy and efficient. Its SOO much faster to do RAW files and various edits, without having to switch between the organizer and editor of PS Elements. It's got a purist approach to post-processing, having just about every edit I need without any of the 'cheat' tools like cloning. It also has a really clean, beautiful, and functional interface. The whole thing is just a damn good package. If I can justify spending ANOTHER $100 (66% discount for students

) after just paying $500 down on my PC, I'll buy the full version when the trial expires. Otherwise, I'll have to go back to the Elements organizer
